Dan Frate has been drawing in perspective, as far back as four years old. He had several art classes for many different mediums while growing up and into his adult life. Following his passion he went to the Masters Institute and got his degree in Multimedia Communications. After graduating, Dan worked as a 3d Animator. He soon worked for a printing "CMYK Film to Plate" Software Hardware Corporation doing national ads in six different national magazines, corporate branding, software packaging, company collateral, web site design and development and convention booth material.
Gaining experience with print and web, Dan was offered a job for a web integration company as their lead designer. This was during the dot com, Silicon Valley gold rush. The company had clients such as Oracle, Intel, People Soft, Sybase and Bon A Petit. Part of his job was project management and building relationships with clients and creating internal user interface designs for their corporation.
Gaining this experience, Dan decided to open his own Design Studio. His client base consisted of companies and small business in Silicon Valley, around the country and other parts of the world as far as Patagonia, Chile. Dan relocated to San Diego and worked for corporations and honed his skills in the art of product packaging. Currently Dan has been working the past five years for a publicly traded corporation as their Art Director and Lead Senior Designer.
"My design experience is always evolving with the times and what technology has to offer to create a better market experience for the client and their customers."

Dan has experience with getting products to market and onto shelves. While working with a team environment, adjusting labels and boxes to meet FDA regulations and store compliances. Products in stores such as Walgreens, Target, Amazon and small retail as well. Experience with equine &pet products.
Deadlines are important when it comes to getting products and the artwork to meet store buyer deadlines on time and months ahead of when it will be on shelves. Stores purchase quarterly. You don't want to miss out because you cant deliver on time and meeting the demands of the store buyer. To effectively work independently and driving projects to completion...on time.

Also, a product that you worked hard on getting it through all the obstacles and getting the product on the store shelves. All created from great design and proper support marketing materials, social media and the company website thriving. I do have a blue ribbon award for my Lionfish at the Orange County Fair in LA. At the time, I remember I wasn't sure if they were going to hang it up for display."
As a designer/consultant, you work with a wide range of clients and their customers over the years. As a designer you take your given parameters and design for the project. As a consultant, one can offer your past experience and advice but in the end it is always the clients' decisions for their marketing needs that take priority. Honest days work. Honest days pay.

She had an art studio in her basement that was magical. You could explore any art medium you wanted. Sculpture, clay pottery, oil painting, water color, colored pencils, wood carving, and more.
I started drawing from the history books in fourth grade on. You can say that I was following my passion at an early age. I went to Masters Institute for my multi-media communications degree. I was focused to learn all I could. I wanted to be prepared to handle any issue placed in front of me. I have old school morals. I'm reliable, punctual, and easy to work with. I leave my ego at the door when working on projects. I have also learned early on in my career, to drive my own projects in order to hit my deadlines.
